This was a gift/fanart for TheDiscordedCelestia on tumblr, also a sort of "consolation"/thank-you for the awesome fanart contest submission, even though it technically didn't win.

Sometimes I wonder, if Celestia suffered nearly as much as Luna for those 1000 years.

Another simple, yet emotive pieces depicting half the pain of a story.
A beautiful background. Am I crazy? maybe. However, I do find that the plain grey background does correspond well with the true emotions that many understand Celestia to have felt at that time.

Celestia's drooped mane and wings, along with her overly slumped posture look fantastic. I find that having many edges(e.g. mane tips, ears, wings and feathers, even her hoof) facing towards the ground could be symbolic of depression and want for something more.

Having the only outstanding colour to be the words "Luna!" followed by an apology is presents nothing but remorse and the emotion easily cuts to our hearts, like a hot knife through butter. Focusing on such simple words is a great way to send a message powerfully and precisely.

An incredible image containing much emotive language with a simple, yet delicate message.
