Space Pushing Part 2
So you've got your speedpaint. Yay! Now it's time to push the value/contrast. Speedpaint on top of your previous work using a larger variety of saturations and a wider overall value structure. I want to see a separate Foreground (something before the character in space or the character in front) Middleground and Background.

So I didn't want to overwrite the first version, but I also don't want to spam people too much, so this one is going to just be posted in my gallery and not added to any groups. If any groups ask for it, then sure. So I apologize if, for some reason, you didn't want to see a better/different version of this.

Think of this as a sort of experiment, will EQD put this in a drawfriend (Sorta again) ?

Also beautiful! I'm finding it very hard to decide which one I like more. :)

Now that i think about it little bit more, you could improve on the water ripples when Rainbow Dash's wing goes into the water. Just like if you moved you hand in water it will make their own waves.

Another thing i would like to see is a little bit of motion blur on rainbow dash herself, to show the viewer just how fast she is really going, but i'm also not a artist and i have no idea what effect it will have on the painting itself. But other then that i really like the improvements you did to the painting.

I like the 2nd one better but the waves going on to the "camera" in the bottom right is a bit annoying. Though I do like it!

It's interesting in a way. I like top half more on the first version because of the darker blues, as pointed out. Gave it more contrast.
And I prefer the bottom half of this version, for more or less the same reason.

Now, if we could only fuse the two together :p
Looks good mate. :)

I agree with cormy1 about the darker blues of the storm, but maybe that might have made the entire picture too dark/gloomy. I like the wing adjustment, it makes more sense flight-wise, like she is pushing to stay above the water. Speaking of which, making the water choppier gives it a more realistic "at sea" feel, and works better with the darker contrast. These are my personal opinions and I am in NO WAY an artist, I can't draw for s*buysomeapples*t. Just saying it how I see it when I can compare the two side-by-side. Overall, great work!

I think I liked the darker blues in the first version... Like as if she was doing this in bad stormy weather.
Otherwise huge improvement!
